I’m amazed! People still think that do-it-yourself (DIY)) equals free, just because they don’t have to take money out of their pockets… literally. But let’s be honest about it: what’s your hourly rate? Do you still think that DIY is free? Are you sure?
OK… let’s take SEO. Unless you are an SEO wannabe it makes no sense to start wasting your time on DIY. Why not when all you’d like to do is to learn? Because SEO is not just theory!
- Do you know how many hours you need to identify the right nice sites where to submit your links?
- Do you have any idea about the real submit/ acceptance ratio?
- Do you really know how to write your link exchange requests to trigger positive feelings in an online world dominated by spam?
Linking is just one part of the SEO puzzle. You’ll need to create valuable, authentic content too, to show respect towards your visitors, to show how much you value their time and provide quality.
Do you have the time to manage your business and control your online world at the same time? I’m not saying that you shouldn’t. After all, online or offline, your business is successful because of what you do. What I am saying is that it would be probably better (and more economical) for you to delegate instead of being a control freak.
There are SEO experts for each company sizes. Employ them and you’ll be surprised to find out that the revenue will be higher than your initial investment and that, in the end, spending money on some SEO techniques really pays off.
