So apparently, although the comments are turned off (so much to do, so little time… besides, this blog was not created for social media purposes, but it was intended as a newsletter for SEO Ltd.’s clients) people find ways to comment on my articles. So SEO Ltd. has made it to StumbleUpon and got a thumbs up from miguelstil. It’s got also some traffic (thank you, Stumble users) and an additional comment. I should learn about SMO…
Well, I am not sure the comment is particularly pertinent. That’s because at SEO Ltd. we do not focus on SMO, but on SEO and AdWords campaigns. As you see, I do not use this blog to generate traffic to another site, I do not monetize it with AdSense and other affiliate programs. I do not go comment on other blogs to “socialize.”
SMO has a purpose: creating a network of users, communicating. SMO means “social media optimization” and it is certainly not a foreign term for the professionals at SEO Ltd. But as the name of our company suggests, we are not into SMO. We let that in the hands of public relation experts and social media fans.
These professionals will turn to us when they need SEO campaigns or AdWords campaigns. (SEO Ltd. is an AdWords qualified professional.) In the end we will team up with the SMOs to provide the best results for a website owner.
Now, don’t get it wrong: I didn’t find the comment offensive. I just felt like clarifying where we stand and what is the real mission of SEO Ltd.
